Katherine Schwinn Stephan
From 1941 until 1970, Mr. and Mrs. Hallis Stephan owned a dairy farm at Burton. After he died in 1967, Mrs. Stephan kept the farm for a few years, and then sold it.
Tuesday, Katherine Schwinn Stephan, 82, died at the Western Reserve Convalescent Home. She had been ill two years with cancer.
Mrs. Stephan had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Euclid Avenue Christian Church. She was a former member of the Shaker Heights Country Club and the East Cleveland Women's Club.
Her husband had been vice president and general manager of Lucas Machine Division of New Britain Machine Co. Her son John is now president of the division, which is part of Litton Industries. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Jennifer and John H. Stephan Jr.,
