Hettie Pearl McGinnis, 92, of Green Co., KY, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY. Daughter of the late Clem Beard and Nancy Wade Beard, she was born in Green County on September 25, 1913. She was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She was married to Kenneth King McGinnis on March 3, 1938. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a sister, Margaret Tucker of Louisville; and 2 sisters-in-law, Catherine Beard and Flossie Beard, both of Greensburg, KY. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: 5 brothers, Clem Taylor Beard, Abel Beard, Guy Beard, Lucian Beard and Robert Beard; and 3 sisters, Cleo Paxton, Gertrude Davenport and May Rich. Funeral was Wednesday, August 2 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Bro. Dwight Forderhase officiated. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Whitlock, Maurice Beard, Harold Hudgins, Eddie Paxton, Lloyd Curry and Darrell Starks. Honorary pallbearers were Dianne P. Martin, Elois Landrum, Walker Paxton and Delia Paxton.
