Barry was born Aug. 24, 1960, in Idaho Falls to Carolyn Janae Haslam Rogers and Richard Howard Rogers. He was the oldest of four children and grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Bonneville High School in 1979.
Two months following high school, Barry served in the United States Air Force as crew chief. He performed maintenance, repairs, and completed pre-flight and post-flight military aircraft inspections. After his honorable discharge from military service, he returned to Idaho Falls, where he attended Eastern Idaho Technical College, and graduated with advance certification in diesel mechanics and welding. He worked most of his life on various vehicles and had a natural talent along with extensive knowledge and experience as a mechanic.
He moved to Marbleton, Wyo., and later settled in LaBarge where he worked as a diesel mechanic and was loved and very respected by those who knew him. Barry loved sports, hunting, fishing camping and was an avid and talented pool player. Barry was a big guy with a huge heart, always willing to go the extra mile to help someone.
Barry is survived by a sister, Kathy Lynn Rogers of Idaho Falls; a brother, Steven Earl (Andrea) Rogers of Idaho Falls; and three nieces and five nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lori Ann Puckett, and parents and grandparents, Florence and Earl Haslam and Faye and Howard Rogers.
