Shelby Gene Bounds, 44, of Taylorsville, died Thursday at his residence after an extended illness.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, with burial in Magee Cemetery. The Rev. James Ray Easterling will officiate.
He was a native of Magee, and was a truck driver for G.B. (Boots) Smith. He was a member of Jesus Name Holiness Church in Raleigh.
He is survived by his widow, Van Bounds of Taylorsville; a son, Carvey Bounds of Taylorsville; daughters, Sheila Bounds and Reda Bounds, both of Taylorsville; his mother, Ruby Yelverton of Taylorsville; brothers, Ray Bounds of Chadam, Ala., and Jerry Bounds of Pinola.
Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m.
