Mrs. Mamie Sue Wells Booth, 65, wife of Jessie Clay Booth of 118 Davis Drive, Danville, VA went to be with her Lord at Memorial Hospital in Danville after a long illness. Her condition had been critical for about a week.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Sidney Wells and Cora Aaron Wells.

She was a member of the East Baptist Tabernacle Church in Danville.

Survivors are her husband, one son Jessie Edward Booth of Danville, three daughters Mrs. John Lewis of the home, Mrs. Dora Craddock of Chatham, VA and Mrs. Edmund Day of Burlington, NC. and six grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers Levi Wells and Brad Wells, both of Danville, four sisters Mrs. Relza Elliott of Martinsville Road, Mrs. Emma Harris, Mrs. Minnie Davis and Mrs. Vivan Shields, all of Danville.

Funeral services were conducted at the Barker Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. R J Barber and Reverend Fletcher Hardy officiating.

Interment was in Highland Burial Park.

Pallbearers were Raymond Harris, Wallace Davis, Curtis Elliott, Thomas Lewis, David Wells, Van Elliott, Nathan Harris and Wayne Oakes.
