Johnny Cook, former tenor of the Happy Goodman Family (and later the re-organized Statesmen Quartet), passed away Sunday evening, May 14, in Huntsville, AL as a result of liver and kidney failure. He was 51. Johnny was arguably one of the greatest high tenors ever. He won the Dove Award for Best Male Vocalist in 1976.

Wow. Johnny was such a blessing, and to those who pull up Johnny singing on You Tube, there is no doubt in my mind that you instantly felt touched, and by the end of the song, was in tears. Just looking at Johnny's pictures on Google makes me want to jump...(Read more)
