Minnie Ruth Elrod, 94, passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at a Florida care center.
Minnie was born Nov. 18, 1908, in Fort Worth. She was the former owner/operator of Elrod's Floral Shop in Fort Worth, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Lake Wales. Minnie was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years, a member of the American Business Women's Association, Eastern Star, and started the "Muddobber's in Keenagers." She enjoyed ceramics and traveling. Minnie was also a member of the Book Nook Club and Reviewers Club in Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Elrod, in 1964; and a daughter, Helen Ruth Elrod.
