Amanda Williams Shields Bridgewater Killey Obituary

Amanda Williams Killey, daughter of George and Sarah Ann Williams, was born July 11, 1841, died Nov. 18, 1918, aged 77 years, 4 months and 7 days.

She united with the Methodist church when young and remained faithful until death.

She was married to Wilson Shields on October 1879. To this union one son, Otho W. Shields was born.

The father died when he was 8 months old leaving the mother to battle with the hardships of this world alone. She was married again in October, 1876, to James Bridgewaters. To this union six children were born to bless their home. Mrs. S. A. Huckleberry, of Otterbein, Ind.; Mrs. Fred Taylor, Of Lafayette; Mrs. Geo. Campbell, of Salem; Mrs. Jesse Bane, of Lebert and Louis Bridgewaters of Ambia, Ind.

On February 13, 1914, the husband died. She was married to Kinchen Killey April 7, 1914. Her husband, seven children, one stepson, two brothers, two sisters, thirty two grand childrren, many relatives and friends are left to mourn her departure. The winter of trouble is past.
