BRICUGLIO, Leo, Sr.
Leo Bricuglio, Sr., 98, of East Hartford, loving and devoted husband of Delphinie (Saccocio) Bricuglio for 74 years, died peacefully, Sunday, (October 14, 2012). He was born June 2, 1914 in Waterbury and was the son of the late Carmelo and Nancy (Santise) Bricuglio. He was a proud WW II, US Army veteran. Leo retired many years ago; he was a truck driver for over 40 years for the Connecticut Celery Company. He was a former longtime faithful communicant of St. Christopher's Church, East Hartford. Leo enjoyed bowling, gardening and making homemade wine and was an avid New York Yankee fan. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Leo Bricuglio, Jr. of East Hartford; two daughters, Nancy Bricuglio and fiancée Larry Adoian, and Marie Poland and her husband, John all of Manchester; five grandchildren, Trevor and Ryan Porter, Johnny Poland, and Terry and Tracey; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Lilli Porter; and five special nieces. He was predeceased by a sister Annunziata Buscemi and a brother John Bricuglio.
Prayer service will be Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at 12 Noon at D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. The burial will be in Silver Lane Cemetery, Veteran's Field with full military honors. Calling hours are Thursday, Oct.18, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at the funeral chapel.
