Bobo, was our second dog of group two. He was a pure bred Basset Hound, he had "Big" Paws and Long Ears.
He was adopted as a playmate for Bubbles after Max passed away. Bobo was found as a stray, the family wanted to keep him but the landlord would not allow it. So it was at the Denver Dumb Friends League Shelter we found him.
He was about age 1 1/2 when he came to live with us.
Bobo was a happy dog, with a wonderful disposition. He was so laid back. He loved to play "tag" with his "pets" (us). He loved to play Tug of War with Bubbles.
Plus Bubbles would always pick on him. I ask the Vet about it one time, she told me "Oh, she just being a bitch and she knows it!"
Bobo was a "Sleep Expert", he would never allow anything to interrupt his precious sleep.
He loved going on walks. His favorite place was on his perch looking over his "Kingdom". (Which was steps leading to the second floor of the garage.) He was so strange instead of coming to the backdoor and barking when he wanted to come in he would climb all the way to the top of the second floor platform and he would "Woo" his head off. He made sure the whole neighborhood knew he wanted to come in. Thank goodness all of our neighbors were so understanding, they would be like "Oh, Bobo wants in" and no one ever complained. Boy, those are great neighbors!
In his later years he was unable to climb to the top anymore, so sad. Everyone missed his Woo.
He loved to go for a ride in the car and to visit Dairy Queen.
Obituary Announcement sent to family and friends at his passing:
Dear Family and Friends,
We come once again to you with sad news.
We have lost our wonderful Basset Hound, Bobo (the Woo hound).
He passed away at home at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2010, age 14 ½ years. Bobo had been in failing health for several months. Bobo passed away while walking with Will in our yard. His walks had been limited to our yard for the past few months, but he enjoyed them. He just wandered around at his own pace, for as long or as short a time as he wanted. We are sad at the loss but grateful that he died peacefully at home doing his favorite thing.
He had a joyful personality and sweet and gentle character. He will be missed.
Please visit Bobo's sister Bubbles.
The day Bobo passed away, Bubbles was here with him, she came to get him. I saw it.
Cremated, Ashes given to family or friend.
