George emigrated from Sweden to America in 1900. Three of his brothers Charles, John, and Albert, also sailed to the US, and all four settled in Portland, Oregon. George was a self-employed grocer throughout his time in Portland. George married Hilma Benson (whose sister, Alma, married George's brother, John). They had three children:

Services Friday, May 22, at 3 pm at the Pearson Morturary, NE Knott St. at Union Ave. Friends invited. Vault interment Rose City cemetery."
