TX death certificate # 086192
Clyde was a son of Ellarena Amelia "Ella" Hall and Charles Ceymore Black (who had all boys) and the sibling of, at least:
Oscar Hall Black,
Preston Albert Black,
Wilmer Dewitt Black,
Josiah Taylor Black, and
an infant brother.
His family moved to Ward County, TX in 1905 for his mother's health and stayed.
Mr. Black and Louise Yates were married in 1916 in her parents home, after meeting in the Barstow Presbyterian Church and a five-year courtship.
Mr. Black and his wife lived briefly in California, but returned to Barstow, TX, and then moved on to El Paso, TX... where they settled (in 1926) and stayed. Mr. Black had a furniture business and fed cattle for market (although he had also farmed, raised horses, and worked in a hardware store during his lifetime).
They had two fine sons: Dr. Gordon Livingston Black, who is living and Dr. Wallace Henderson Black, who is linked below.
Mr. Black, and his family, have always been deeply involved in the work of the Presbyterian church... and this continues to be the top priority of his family, too.
