Mrs. Ludie Barnes, wife of Ollie Barnes, passed away at her home last night. She had been sick about three or four weeks, and she leaves a baby boy about three weeks old. Mrs. Barnes will be remembered as Miss Ludie Brooks of Caruthersville. She is a sister of Bailey Brooks of Caruthersville, also Mrs. Marvin Harper of Steele. She leaves a husband and 7 children, who are as follows: Roy Lee, Audrey, Dorothy, George, Chester, Cecil and the tiny baby. A host of relatives and friends mourn her death.
