Alida married Elisha Rodolphus Sprague (14 Feb 1817 - 22 July 1867) on 1 May 1845 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Elisha was born in South Killingly, Windham County, Connecticut, to Elisha Leavens Sprague (1787-1834) and his first wife, Clarissa (Day) Sprague (1789-1831).
Elisha studied law with his future brother-in-law, Judge James L. Bartol (1813-1887), for two years, and he was admitted to the Bar in 1843.
Elisha practiced in Denton, Caroline County, Maryland, from 1843-45 and in Baltimore, Maryland, from 1845-67.
In the 1850 U.S. Census, Alida and Elisha were living with her parents in Baltimore City, Maryland, and he was a "lawyer."
Elisha died in Guayaquil, Guayas, Ecuador, while there on business.

1) Rodolphe Cherbonnier Sprague (10 Sept 1847 - 14 Oct 1908) was born in Maryland. He is #83272019.
2) Emile Savary Sprague (born 7 Mar 1854) was born in Maryland. He was living with his aunt, Corinne Mary (Cherbonnier) Bartol, in the 1870 and 1880 U.S. Censuses. In the 1900 U.S. Census, Emile was living at 865 Park Avenue in Baltimore City, Maryland, and he was a "bank clerk." His wife was Eleanor (?) Sprague (born Aug 1865).
