He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Heiskell where he was pastor for several years. He also pastored Clax Gap Baptist Church of Harriman, Bishopville Baptist Church of Heiskell, and Trinity Baptist Church of Karns.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Fraker Ogle; second wife, Ann Cannon Ogle; brother, Don Ogle; sisters, Evelyn Watson and Jean Peery.
Survivors son, Danny Ogle and wife Annette of Powell; daughter, Karen Cole and husband Roy of Clinton; brother, Parlon Ogle and wife Mary Ruth of Seymour; sister, S. Geneva Constant of Seymour; grandchildren, Kim and Michael Garrett, Dan and Amy Ogle, April Phillips, David and Candy Ogle, Crystal and Mark Parson, Nathan Cole; great grand children, Bailey Phillips, Jonah and Samuel Garrett, John Tyler, and Matthew Ogle, Nicholas, Caleb, and Elijah Ogle; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 16, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. with David Ogle and Rev. Edd Bowne officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 17, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Holley Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
