Mary K. Flagle, 86, of Mercersburg, passed away at 9:25 AM October 9, 2012 at her home.
Born November 13, 1925, at Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Cora Lippy Beaver.
Mary was employed at Letterkenny during World War II. She was employed for 40 years at the former U Wanna Wash Frock Co. of Ft. Loudon.
Mary had been attending West Side Brethren In Christ Church of Chambersburg.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of VFW #6241 and American Legion #517 both of Mercersburg, and American Legion #606 of Ft. Loudon. She was an avid Baltimore Oriole fan and enjoyed TV game shoes, word find, and puzzle books.
Her husband, Clyde R. Flagle, Sr., died July 3, 2009.
Surviving are two daughters, Edna & husband Daniel Molchan and Debra & husband Robert Pine both of Mercersburg, sons, Clyde, Jr. & wife Teresa Flagle of Ft. Loudon and Richard Ed & wife Susan Beaver of Indianapolis, Indiana. 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Two brothers, Raymond Beaver of Chambersburg and Eugene Beaver of Napa, CA. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg with Reverends James Sollenberger and John Winckler officiating. Burial will be at Stenger Hill Cemetery, Ft. Loudon.
Viewing Friday 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
