|Birth: ||Mar. 9, 1853|
|Death: ||Apr. 8, 1899|
M.J. Calder died very suddenly at Warwick on the night of April 7th (sic), of valoular (sic) heart disease, with which he had been afflicted for a number of years. He was formerly a resident of Albion township, but moved to Norton county (sic) in 1892, came back to his county one year ago hoping the change would be beneficial to his health, but he steadily grew worse until the silver cord was snapped asunder in the prime of life, he being 46 years of age. We laid him to rest in the Rose Mound cemetery (sic), Big Bend township, the place he himself selected, beside W.H. Webber and John Halstead, both of whom he had known from earliest childhood. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father.
