Avram Kuzmenko
Avram Kuzmenko, 70, 4736 Nettleton Road, Medina Township, died Sunday evening in Medina Community Hospital where he had been a patient for one and one-half weeks.
Mr. Kuzmenko was born Aug. 21, 1890 in Kiev, Russia. In 1912 he came to American and in 1916 he moved to Cleveland. He purchased a farm in Medina County in 1927, but continued working as a butcher in Cleveland until 1941 when he became a full time farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Stella; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Lane of Richmond, Va.; three sons, Andrew J. Karson, M.D., Medina County Coroner, Harry C. Karson of Kirkland, Wash., and Tom Kuzmenko of Beaufort, S.C. and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Gensemer Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. C.W. Kemrite officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Medina Community Hospital Building Fund.
