OBITUARY:

CLEATIS JONAH MILES BUCKNER, age 67, of Dandridge, TN went to be with Jesus on March 8, 2007 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was a long time employee of Forenta, Inc. in Morristown. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Jane Morie Buckner; infant son, Cleatis James Buckner; daughter, Kathy Marie Rea and parents, Mark and Edna Buckner, formerly of Dandridge. He is survived by his wife, Katie Doherty Buckner; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and April Buckner of Jefferson City; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessie and Chip Mason of Morristown, Jodi and Greg Hawkins of Dandridge; grandchildren, Derek and Trey Mason, and Jon-Jon of Morristown, Brandi, Houston and Kinsler Rea of Newport, Janae Buckner of Jefferson City, Kaitlynn and Kaedyn Hawkins of Dandridge; nine sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorthey and L. C. Brogan of Dandridge, Joyce Renner, Linda and Gary James of White Pine, Virginia and Andrew Holt, Mary and Bob Maddron, Bobbie and Dallas McCarter, all of Newport, Nona Reed of Knoxville, Melva Turley of Talbott, Betty and Eddie Davis of Morristown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman and Barbara Buckner of North Carolina, Dennis and Donna Buckner of South Carolina, Markie and Sue Buckner and Kenney and Tina Buckner of Newport, Charlie and Alma Buckner of White Pine; and beloved step-mother, Alma "Mom" Buckner of North Carolina. The family and friends asks you to remember them in your prayers. Cleatis was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening, March 11, 2007 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Reverend Jerry Colbert officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside interment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007 at Swanns Chapel Cemetery.
