Chester Francis Adams, 70, of 1701 N. Baker St., died suddenly at 8:25 a.m. Sunday in his home of an apparent heart attack. Kenneth Sangston, LaSalle County Deputy Coroner, investigated.

Visitation will be form 4 to 9 p.m. today at Winterrowd Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

He was born on March 5, 1906, a son of Frank and Mary (Socatch) Adams. He married Ruby Shull on November 22, 1930 in Streator.

She survives with a daughter: Patricia Kettman of Streator; a son: James Adams of Streator; five grandchildren; and a sister: Ronelva Jones of Streator.

Mr. Adams resided in Streator all of his lifetime. He retired from Anthony Company in 1970 after working there for 48 years.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 645 and Knights of Columbus.
