Mrs. Bertha Martens, 72 year old local resident, died last night after being ill for several days from pneumonia. She was a life-long resident of this city.
Mrs. Martens, nee Bertha Ruedebusch, was born here Mar. 15, 1867, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ruedebusch sr. On Dec. 28, 1893, she was married to Herman Martens, who preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1927.
Surviving are the children, Mrs. John Loos, Green Bay; Armin Martens, Ashland, Ky.; Mrs. Carl Duffie, Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Emil Ruedebusch, of Fond du Lac, and Carl of this city; a sister, Mrs. George Janssen, this city; and five grandchildren.
The remains will be at the Koepsell & Gruber funeral home until Friday noon, and will then be taken to Turner hall where the funeral will be held at 2 o'clock on Friday.
