Mrs. Anna Meyer Buried Monday
DEATH OCCURS ON SAME FARM WHERE SHE WAS BORN 71 YEARS AGO
Mrs. Anna Meyer, 71, a lifetime resident of this county, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday at the home of her son Leo Meyer, in the town of Port Washington. She had been ill about three months.
Mrs. Meyer, nee Grotz, was born on January 13, 1868, on the farm where her death occurred last week. Her childhood was spent on this farm up to the time of her marriage to Peter L. Meyer on June 3, 1885. They settled in the town of Port Washington where they continued to reside. Mr. Meyer preceded her in death 16 years ago.
For many years she was a member of the Christian Mothers society of this city.
Survivors include one son, Leo Meyer, town of Port Washington; daughters, Mrs. Margaret Meyer and Mrs. Hildegarde Roob, both of this city; Mrs. Nancy Calteaux of Milwaukee; Mrs. Theresa Hoppe, town of Port Washington; Mrs. Marie Stern of Grafton.
The funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Monday, May 8, at St. Mary's church in this city, Rev. Joseph Dreis officiating at the last rites. Interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery.
