Hattie Dobbins Pilgrim of Marietta, Georgia passed away on August 20th at the age of ninety-nine.

Hattie was a retired school teacher and widow of Rev. William Arthur Pilgrim, Sr., a Methodist Minister. She was also preceded in death by her son, Raymond D. Pilgrim. Survivers include three sons, William A. Pilgrim, Jr., Gerald Pilgrim, and Rev. Thomas A. Pilgrim, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A service was held at Mountain View Cemetery, Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, Georgia. No flowers, but gifts may be made to Young Harris College in her memory. Arrangements by SouthCare Cremation Society and Memorial Centers in Marietta 770-420-5557.

Born February 1, 1912, in Covington, Georgia, to Albert M., Sr., and Hattie Alexander Dobbins, little Hattie quickly embarked on a lifetime of education, inspiration, and adventure. A proud graduate of Young Harris College, it was at that little Methodist school near Brasstown Bald that Hattie met her husband of thirty-one years, a ministry student named William Arthur Pilgrim.

Married on March 3, 1933, and graduating together, Hattie and William progressed to Emory University, where William studied theology and Hattie entered the Nursing program.

She was a minister's wife.
