Eiden, Charles F. age 86, of Cologne. Preceded in death by wife, Florence. Survived by children, Randy (Julie), Allan (Carole), Carol Ann (Jon) Woerdehoff; grandchildren, Ashley, Eric, Jenny, Ethan, Alycia, and Aubrey; sister, Lucille Grams; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, 10:30 AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 218 W. 2nd St., Chaska. Visitation Friday, 4-8 PM, prayer service 7:30 at Bertas Funeral Home, 200 W. 3rd St. and also one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment at the church cemetery. Bertas Funeral Home 952-448-2137

Charles Fredrick Eiden, age 86, of Cologne, died at his daughter's home in Cologne on October 3rd, 2012. He was diagnosed with cancer on September 14th, 2012.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, October 6th, 2012, 10:30 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 218 W 2nd St, Chaska. Visitation, Friday, 4-8 PM, prayer service 7:30 PM at the Bertas Funeral Home, 200 W 3rd St. Father Al Bachmann was the celebrant. Casket bearers were Ashley, Eric, Jenny and Ethan Eiden, Alycia and Aubrey Woerdehoff, Harry Eiden, John Grams, Joel Hammers and Brian Vos. Interment was at Guardian Angels Cemetery.

Charlie was born April 29th, 1926 in Cologne, MN to Gottfried "Fred" and Teresa (Poppler) Eiden. He was one of five children.

He was baptized and confirmed at Guardian Angels Catholic Church and graduated from parochial high school at Guardian Angels. Charlie lived an extraordinary life. He milked his own dairy herd until the age of 76. He raised beef cattle through the age of 85 and continued to farm his cropland until his death. He loved and cherished spending time with his family. Preceding him in death were his wife, Florence, sister, Mary Catherine Hammers, and brothers, Art and Eugene Eiden. Survivors include his children, Randy (Julie) of Cologne, Allan (Carole) of Cologne, Carole Ann (Jon) Woerdehoff of Cologne, grandchildren, Ashley, Eric, Jenny and Ethan Eiden, Alycia and Aubrey Woerdehoff, sister, Lucille Grams of Hopkins. Funeral arrangements were with The Bertas Funeral Home of Chaska, MN
