| Birth: | May 14, 1834 | | Death: | Sep. 28, 1910 |  Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in Company M, 2nd US Artillery. At Trevilian Station, Virginia, June 11, 1864, he remained at his gun, resisting the advancing Confederate cavalry, until the retreat of his detachment was secured.
