LAMAR, MO — Oletha Jenkins, 89, Lamar, Mo., passed away Sept. 30, 2012, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lamar.

Oletha was born Oct. 2, 1922, in Rueter, Mo., to Delbert and Rosa (Braden) Williams.

Oletha was united in marriage to the love of her life, Sherman Jenkins, 72 years ago in Forsyth, Mo. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Oletha was also a very good seamstress. She was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle, Lamar, for more than 50 years. Her church and living her life as a Christian were very important to her.

Oletha was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Racine Chapman.

She is survived by her husband, Sherman; daughter, Shirlene Kleeman and husband, John, of Aurora, Mo.; three sons, Darryl and wife, Dorothy, of Lockwood, Mo., Dwane and wife, Mary, of Neosho, Mo., and Dennis and wife, Kathryn, of Lamar; 11 grandchildren, Mike, Danny, Jolene, Kevin, Donavon, Derrick, Scott, Brett, Nicholas, Alison and Daniel; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Dewey Williams; two sisters, Lola Wright and Wilma Mills.

She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Konantz-Warden Funeral Home, Lamar. Ministers Kenneth Musgrove and Mark Heiskell officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Kleeman, Danny Kleeman, Kevin Jenkins, Donavon Jenkins, Derrick Jenkins, Scott Jenkins, Brett Jenkins, Nicholas Jenkins and Daniel Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Alison Jenkins, Jolene Starr, Elmer Fast, Don Rodney, Doyle Lawrence, Jim Morgan and Martin Porter. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday evening at the Konantz-Warden Funeral Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz-Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gospel Tabernacle Church Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
