THOMASVILLE--Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Howerton Dunlap, 68, of Rt. 6, Hasty School Rd., died at 9:10 am Monday at Community General Hospital.

Mrs. Dunlap was born May 31, 1921, in Davidson County, a daughter of Sam and Sallie Whitehart Howerton. She had been a resident of Davidson County most of her life and was a member of Trulite Baptist Church in High Point. She was employed by Adams Plywood Company.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Anna) Coe of Rt. 6, Joe Moore Road and Mrs. Jake (Mickey) Lucas of Rt.6, Hasty School Rd.; one son, Clarence (Buddy)Dunlap of Rt.6, Hasty School Rd; one sister, Mrs. Ernest (Jeraline) Sands of Payne Rd.; two brothers, Arvil E. Howerton of Hasty Hill Rd. and P.D.(Pert) Howerton of Archdale; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 pm Wednesday at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Paul Sparks. Burial will be in Floral Garden Memorial Park.
