SOMERS, Conn. - William W. Wolpert, 66, of 86 Springfield Road, owner and operator of Wolpert Wholesale Produce Co. of Springfield from 1947 to retirement in 1974, died Wednesday in Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford.
Born in Springfield, he lived in Somers 31 years.
A Merchant Marine veteran of World War II, he was a communicant of All Saints Church.
He leaves his wife, the former Anna Bickley; two sons, William W. Jr. of East Longmeadow and Karl of Stafford Springs; a daughter, Kathy Delisle of Somers; brother, Richard of East Longmeadow; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at Somers Funeral Home and in the church with burial in West Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Fund, Main Street, 06071, or the William W. Wolpert Memorial Fund in care of the Wolpert family, 86 Springfield Road.
