ARLENE F DILLON

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother

Canandaigua-Arlene F. Dillon, age 89, formerly of Dungan St., passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, at F. F. Thompson Hospital, with her family by her side.

She is survived by five children, Jayne (Wendell) Kane, Rod (Donna) Dillon, Douglas (Bobbie) Dillon, Kevin (Terry) Dillon and Betsy (Brian) Dick; seven grandchildren, Michael (Barbara) Kane, Jenna (Richard) Walsh, Meghan (Michael) Nichols, Katie Dillon, Kyle Dick, Scott and Danny Dillon; three great-grandchildren, Maximilian and Rafaela Kane and Tyler Walsh; sister, Sharon (Charles) Kunz.

She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas W. Dillon in 1999; and brother, John R. Fenstermacher in 1999.

Mrs. Dillon was born in Telford, PA and was the daughter of John and Adelaide (Wisler) Fenstermacher.

She attended Telford schools and was a graduate of Souderton High School.

She and Tom were married December 7, 1946 in Sellersville, PA.

Mrs. Dillon retired in 1986, after many years as a secretary, at Canandaigua Academy.

She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Society at the church. Mrs. Dillon enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family and friends.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St., Canandaigua.

Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ontario County Health Facility Activities Fund, 3062 County Complex Dr., Canandaigua, NY 14424. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.
