Mr. Charles Franklin "Coonie" Wagaman, 81, of 1 W. Moser Road, Thurmont, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

He was the husband of Beulah M. Brown Wagaman, who died Dec. 24, 1986.

Born Aug. 7, 1921, in Lantz, he was the son of the late William and Alta McAfee Wagaman.

He attended United Methodist Church.

He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He enjoyed hunting, playing cards and watching wrestling.

He is survived by one daughter, Ruby Jean Ingram and husband Harold of Thurmont; two grandchildren, Vickie Jean Cline and husband Mark of Fairfield, Pa., and Calvin Charles Ingram and wife Roberta of Cascade; two great-grandchildren, Hunter McKenzie Ingram and Jordan Tyler Ingram; one sister, Mary Jane Long and husband Robert of Sabillasville; and several nieces and nephews.

He will also be remembered by his friends, the Coblentz family of Thurmont.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kristie Karole Wagaman; two brothers, Ray Wagaman and Glenn Wagaman; and one sister, Hazel Wagaman.

Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., Thurmont, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, at the funeral home with the Rev. Tony Hardcastle, of Deerfield United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
