Elery A. Turner Dies at Age 63
Elery A. Turner, 63, of 1104 Oakland road NE, owner and operator of an insurance agency and a Cedar Rapids resident 40years, died Sunday.
Born April 30, 1900, at Laurens, he was married to Ruth Landdeck March 17, 1935, at Nashua.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ronnie Covington of Cedar Rapids, one granddaughter, and a sister, Dorothy Brown of Fort Dodge.
Mr. Turner was a member of Mizpah Masonic Lodge.
Memorial services: Turner chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. John W. Ried of the First Lutheran church. Burial: Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel until 1 p.m. Wednesday. The casket will not be opened after the service.
