It read:
JOHN YOST
The business of John Yost was inaugurated in 1874. He found it impossible to supply, at the time, the demand with regards to his enterprise. He manufactured to order all styles of light and road wagons, phaetons and buggies. Repairing and painting with neatness and dispatch. He employed none but first class mechanics, so that all work was done in first class style in all particulars. He was located on the southeast corner of the square.
