Reuben Munson, 86, of 415 St. Louis Avenue, Fulton, died at 7:35pm on March 31, 1948 at Callaway County Hospital where he had been a patient for five hours.
Dr. Lloyd E. Hutchings, of Fulton, pronounced death caused by Acute Cardiac Failure and Strangulated Ventral Hernia with Necrosis. The informant was Mrs. Mary Fisher, the daughter of the deceased.
Mr. Munson was born February 10, 1862, in Scott County, Kentucky, the son of Joseph and Mary E. (Lancaster) Munson, both born in Kentucky. He was united in marriage to Addie Wilson and she survives. Reuben was a retired merchant.
Arrangements were under the care of Glen Y. Maupin of Fulton. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Reubin T. Munson left Owens Co., KY., and settled first in 1883 in Cameron, Clinton Co., MO. In 1885 he came to Fulton Co., MO. 1900 living in City of Fulton, Calloway Co., MO., till his death in 1948.
Reuben T. Munson married Addie Lee Wilson 28 Nov. 1889 Fulton, Calloway Co., MO. They had two known children:
Claude Emerson Munson b. Dec. 1890 in 1948 living Springfield, MO., and Mary M. Munson b. June 1893 who married Harry A. Fisher living in 1948 Fulton, MO.
Going further back his grandparents were Sanford Munson and 2/wife Louisa Butler Munson of Scott Co., KY. His great-grandparents William and Dicey Ann ? Munson of Scott Co., KY., oldest record 1798 Tax list of Scott Co., KY.
