Ryan Donald Perry died from a sudden tragic accident, on an obstacle course rope swing, on September 5, 2012, surrounded by the love of his family. Ryan was born February 21, 2002 in Jacksonville, FL. Ryan was in 5th Grade at Bolles School. He loved learning but especially enjoyed science. Happiest moments were spent building his "constructions" and performing science "experiments". He was full of energy and enthusiastically played soccer at the Westside Soccer Club. Ryan adored all animals and loved his 2 dogs and cat. Ryan was a friend to all he met and never failed to make an impression with his exuberance for life. He freely gave a hug and words of love to all. Ryan is survived by his parents Mr. Alan Donald Perry and Dr. Elizabeth Bolter Perry, his brother and sister Alan George Perry 13 yrs and Laura Elizabeth Perry 8yrs, his paternal grandmother Joyce Perry, his maternal grandfather, Dr Walter Bolter, his aunts and uncles Susan and Larry Burtt, Walt and Ola Bolter, George and Deirdre Bolter, and Marilyn and Gerry Tracy, and his cousins, Nicholas and Katrina Bolter; Justin, Garrett, Danielle and Grace Bolter, Andrew Burtt, and Erin Tracy. Ryan is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Mary Ann Bolter and paternal grandfather Donald Perry.
Funeral services for Ryan D. Perry will be held 11AM Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Ortega United Methodist Church, 4807 Roosevelt Blvd. Jacksonville, Fl with Rev. Michael Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday September 14, 2012 from 6PM-8PM at Ortega United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please honor Ryan's life with a donation in his memory to The Jacksonville Humane Society, 8464 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32216 to save the animals he loved or to The Ryan Perry Scholarship Fund with the Westside Soccer Club, 5345 Ortega Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32210 to sponsor children to play the soccer he loved.
