David L. Shepherd
David L. Shepherd, 62, died at 7:15 p.m. Sept. 25, 2012, at St. Rita?s Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 4, 1950, in Lima to C. Leonard and Betty J. Wallace Shepherd, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 9, 1971, he married Joy W. Musser, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Shepherd retired in 2012 as a production manager from Pepsi Cola after 42 years. He was a 1968 graduate of Allen East High School. He enjoyed fishing, visiting with friends and tinkering. He also enjoyed life to the fullest and was always ready to joke and tease someone. He was a great husband, father, brother and friend, who will be sadly missed.
Survivors also include a son, Bryan D. Shepherd, of Lima; three sisters, Carolyn (John Kerns) Hefner, Betty (Chester) Cheney and Gloria Shepherd, all of Lima; a brother, William ?Bill? (Debbi) Shepherd, of Lima; his mother-in-law, Vivian Musser, of Berkley Springs, W.Va.; two sisters-in-law, Karen Musser, of Berkley Springs, W.Va., and Janice Shepherd, of Lima; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Shepherd; a sister, Donna Gilroy; and a son, Nathan Shepherd.
Graveside services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Brian Knoderer will officiate.
A private family visitation will be held prior to the service.
