Mrs Mary York, 77, mother of Sgt Alvin C York, World War I hero, died at her home at Pall Mall Friday. She had been living with her son for several years, and was an invalid and blind. She was of pioneer stock, a woman of strong character, much beloved by her neighbors. She is survived by 8 sons and 2 daughters, all of whom live in the Pall Mall neighborhood.
