During WW I he served with the 29th Field Artillery. He worked with various railroads and on a chicken ranch. It's said that he worked for the ranch for free if he could keep the eggs the chickens laid while in transit. His job was to feed them and keep them alive. It was during the depression and I was told that he made a mint selling the eggs.
He belonged to the Four Mile Masonic Lodge #212 in Campbell, MO. and his ring has been passed down to me.
His parents are Daniel George Burnap and Kattie Barnett.
He has two headstones one from family and one from the VFW. Both have the wrong birth date. For a fact it's 27 April 1888.
