Henry A. Hattermann,90,of Weimar passed away on Oct.15.

He was born on March 10,1920,to Henry Sr. and Lena Matzke Hattermann of Weimar.

Henry attended school in Borden through the eighth grade.

He married Lillie Keyser on Jan.29,1946,at St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz.

Henry was a member of the Air Force from March 15,1942,to Dec.10,1945,during which time he received the Victory Ribbon,Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one Bronze Star,Good Conduct Medal,one Service Stripe and five Overseas Service Bars.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and VFW.

Henry lived in the area all of his life as a farmer and rancher.

Funeral services were held at Hubbard Funeral Home on Oct.18,with Pastor John Hunsicker officiating.

Interment followed at the Masonic Cemetery in Weimar.

Pallbearers were Kirk Hattermann,Kevin Hattermann,Alan Hattermann,Melvin Schmitt,Edwin Schmitt and Donald Schmitt.

Honorary Pallbearers were Raymond Keyer and Leon Hattermann.

Henry is survived by his wife,Lillie;son,Erwin and wife Dorris Hattermann of weimar;and daughter,Helen and her husband Roger Albright of New Bielau.

He was also survived by three grandchildren.

Henry was preceded in death by one sister,Georgie Schmitt.
