| Birth: | Jan. 12, 1902 | | Death: | Apr. 21, 1957 |  Professional Hockey Player. A native of Bracebridge, Ontario, Carson was the son of a famous lumber baron named D.M. Carson and the brother of hockey players, William Joseph 'Dr. Bill' Carson, and Gerald George 'Gerry' Carson. At 5'07, and 165lbs, Carson played the position of Right Wing for teams in the OHA-Jr., OHA-Sr., NHL, St-Cup, Can-Am, Can-Pro, IHL, and the MIHL hockey leagues, including the Woodstock Athletics from 1918 to 1919, Stratford Midgets from 1919 to 1922, Stratford Indians from 1921 to 1926, Montreal Maroons from 1925 to 1928, Stratford Nationals from 1927 to 1928, Windsor Bulldogs from 1928 to 1930, New York Americans from 1930 to 1931, New Haven Eagles from 1931 to 1932, Detroit Falcons from 1931 to 1932, Detroit Red Wings from 1932 t0 1934, and the Windsor Mic-Macs from 1934 to 1935 (which he also coached). Carson was also a Member of the IHL First All-Star Team in 1930. Carson officially retired from hockey on February 15, 1934, and he died from a heart attack on April 21, 1957, in Crumlin, Ontario, at the age of 55. The house that the boys grew up in is now a Bed & Breakfast in Parry Sound, Ontario, simply known as 'The Carson House.' (bio by: K)
