Man Killed by Lightning
Abilene, Tex., June 18---The body of Brown Beall aged 17, who was struck by lightning while hoeing in his father's cotton patch Tuesday afternoon, was interred in the Potosi Cemetery, thirteen miles southeast of here Wednesday afternoon. The deceased left a father, mother, two sisters and a brother. Lightning struck him in the head, diverted to his breast, going off into the ground through one of his legs, removing every stich [sic] of clothing from his waist down and tearing his shoes into shreds.
