Brian Wayne Broadbent, 55, of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 22, 2012, at his home.
He was born July 18, 1957, in Idaho Falls to Elmer Wayne Broadbent and Lola M. Smith Broadbent. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Skyline High School.
He married Janell Babcock in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked in various restaurants as a dishwasher, in food preparation and as a cook.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed doing genealogy, cooking, and especially loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.
Survivors are his wife, Janell Broadbent, of Idaho Falls; daughters: Rose (Michael) Longacre, of Idaho Falls, and Kathy (Damian) Marsden, of Idaho Falls; son, Ben (Heather) Updike, of Utah; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and his second wife, Susan Stanley.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 1-2:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) prior to leaving for the cemetery.
