Betty June Ward, 82, of Kimball Township, died Thursday, September 20, 2012.

She was born June 11, 1930 in Port Huron to the late John and Mabel Hodgins. She married Howard Ward on September 24, 1949 in Port Huron. He died February 15, 1997.

Mrs. Ward loved her church, Sturges Memorial Congregational Church, and her family. She enjoyed family get-togethers, attending church, cards and Bingo.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen (John) Corturillo of Port Huron and Sharon (Dennis) Czajka of Kimball; two sons, Dennis (Doretta) Ward of Kentucky and Terry Ward of Oregon; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Berniece Labor of California; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Ward; a daughter-in-law, Denise Ward; and four brothers.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Rob Harrell will officiate.

Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Water Hospice or Sturges Memorial Congregational Church.
