Lillian J. Ringelstetter-Ledger, 89 years of Stevens Point and formerly of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012, at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Koepsell-Zeidler Funeral Homein Columbus, with the Rev. Father Steve Kortendick officiating. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, September 22, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery in Columbus, Wisconsin.
Lillian Jeanette was born on July 17, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Cynadl) Walasek in Columbus. In 1946, she was married to Mark J. Ringelstetter, who preceded her in death. She was later married to Richard Ledger in 1977.
Lillian was a graduate of Columbus High School. She attended Columbia County Normal and later graduated from Whitewater State Teachers College. Lillian taught in Columbus and in Illinois. She had been the owner and operator of Farmers Inn in Columbus, Ringelstetter Bar in Butternut, WI and Maude's Kitchen in Glidden, WI. Lillian managed St. Vincent's DePaul and volunteered at schools in the Steven's Point School District. Lillian had also been a former member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church.
Lillian is survived by her sons, Tom (Patricia) Ringelstetter of East Rochester, N.Y.; and John (Karen) Ringelstetter of Butternut, WI; grandchildren, Nathan (JoAnna) Ringelstetter, Matthew Ringelstetter, Jon (Tiffany) Ringelstetter Marissa (Bradley) Fowler and
great-granddaughter, Kinsley Rose; her sister, Blanche Kasal of Chicago, IL. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Mark, second husband, Richard and her brother, George.
