Comment by Bonnie Miller:

James "Jim" Muncy was the son of
William S. "Billie" Muncy and Mary
"Polly" Sizemore. He was my mother's
uncle (her father; Levi Muncy's brother)
I knew he and his wife as; "Uncle Jim
& Aunt Sarie."

Uncle Jim married Sarah Caroline 'Sarie'
(Dennis) on Sept. 21, 1898 in Huntsville,
Madison County, Arkansas. They were newly
married and living with William S. Muncy
on the 1900 Census. Uncle Jim served his
country during the Spanish American War,
he received a small pension for his service.
He died at the VA Hospital in Long Beach,
California.

I recall, Uncle Jim & his wife, Aunt Sarie visiting our family during the early 50's (1952-1953) when we lived near Stilwell, Adair County, Oklahoma (they were living in Oklahoma at that time also). As they were departing from one of thier visits, my mother took photos. One of those pic's is posted here.

Aunt Sarie was a Penticostal Minister, she held many revivals. They were wonderful Christains.

Those were the days of "brush arbor" meetings, no fancy buildings with air conditioning, back then. As a child, I attended a few 'brush arbor' meetings with my parents. I truly treasure those memories.
