Picture of him in his "Sons of the Cincinnati Society" uniform. He spent 8 years in the Revolutionary War even though he was severely injured in the Battle of Monmouth shortly after leaving Valley Forge. He took a musket ball to the face, but in a short time, he was back on the line.
