Norma Brackenbury died on Wednesday, September 29, 2004. She was preceded in death 33 days earlier by the love of her life, her husband, Val Brackenbury. They were married for 39 years and raised three children, Steven, Blake, and Jennifer, and had nine grandchildren. Norma was born in Spanish Fork, Utah March 24, 1944 to Franklin and Maybell Hopper. Her older brother, Bryce died in 1962 while serving a mission for the LDS Church. Norma loved being a homemaker and worked hard to provide a stable, loving home for Val and her children. Everyone loved Norm. Fiercely loyal to the people she loved, she could be counted on to be a reliable confidant, the one you turned to when you needed something done well. Her passions became paying business ventures; affectionately known as "The Balloon Queen", she was famous for her balloon bouquets. Her doughnuts were legendary, and her ability to sell anything on eBay was a sought after commodity. Respects were paid on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, Utah. Burial in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
