GALENA, KANSAS: Kenneth Lee Bridgewater, age 23 passed away at 7:52 pm Friday, September 14, 2012 from injuries sustained in an auto accident at Hwy 102 and NW 20th Roseland, KS.
Kenneth was born March 1, 1989 in Joplin, MO. His parents were Ricky Lee Nelson and Colleen Raye (Storm) Bridgewater. He had lived in Galena most of his life.
He worked as a mechanic, last working with his friend Allen Bird at C & N Corp, Galena, KS. He loved working on cars.
Surviving are his parents, Rick and Colleen Bridgewater, Moberly, MO; his biological father, Bert Lombard, State of Arkansas; his maternal grandparents, Don and Harlene McLean, Joplin, MO; one sister, Latona Bridgewater, Joplin, MO; one nephew, Leland Michael Rowe; and aunts and uncles, Kevin and Stella Cook and Lamont and Diane Storm, all of Joplin, MO.
The body was taken for cremation under the care of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
The family will be holding a memorial service at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, Sept 18, 2012 at the Spring Grove Apostolic Church, Galena, KS. Troy Miller will officiate.
