During his time in the US Army in World War II, he appeared in a service revue and made his film debut in "The Marrying Kind" (1952), followed by "Last of the Comanches" (1953). A veteran of over 40 movies, his most memorable credits include "From Here to Eternity" (1953), "Jailhouse Rock" (1957), "The Sheepman" (1958), "North to Alaska" (1959), "Dondi" (1961), "Never a Dull Moment" (1968) and "The Boatniks" (1970). For television, he appeared in many series such as "Maverick", "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color", "Run for Your Life", "The Chicago Teddy Bears" and "Love, American Style". He died of cancer at age 64 in Cape May Court House, New Jersey.
