New Hampshire Governor. She was Senate President of the State of New Hampshire when Governor Hugh Gallen passed away in December of 1982. She served as Acting Governor of the State of New Hampshire from December 30, 1982 until January 6, 1983 when Governor John Sununu was sworn in.
