Mr. Anderson served his country during WWII with the 3rd Armed Division under General Patton as a Tank Commander. He received the Silver Star and the French Braid of Honor. Mr. Anderson was a former Captain of the Long Branch First Aid Squad in New Jersey. He was also a retired Plumber by trade. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Anderson; his sisters, Vera Orner and Norma White. He is survived by his daughter with whom he lives, Donna Size (Joe) of Jacksonville; his son, Lester H. Jr. Anderson (Paulette) of Simpsonville, SC; his brothers, George Anderson (Dolly) of Lincroft, NJ and Byron Anderson (Alberta) of San Diego, CA; his sister, Shirley Bernacki (Walter) of Eatontown, NJ; five grandsons, one granddaughter, two great granddaughters, one great great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 10, 2003 at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL.
